The scientists of Cornell University have developed a stealth device that through speeding up or slowing down the different parts of the beam to make an event disappear entirely about 40 picosecond (one over one trillion seconds ). Because the beam will be restored after then,people can't detect what happened in the very short time and it does not exist any information that time gap can be rebuilt.The related report was published in the online edition of nature on January 4.

Be differ from other space equipment that need the help of distorting electromagnetic field or bending the light around the object to work,the new device can use the special divided time lens to compress the light through optical cable,and make its speed in different,so as to form the tiny time interval.

In the device called electrooptical modulator,light waves are compressed to form temporary "hole"in order to hide an event after projecting in the first divided time lens.Through the second divided time lens, light waves are unzipped into repristination,and continue to spread along the fiber optic cable.So the event causing any time or space changes will be stealth in "hole",without any record,as if nothing happens.So far,the technology continue to work only one second of 0.00012.

Milton Friedman and others from Cornell University said, the method is based on accelerating the forefeet of probing light and slowing down the back-end part,which can produce good time gap,and detecting light can't change due to the event happening in the "hole"."In general,we realize the first experimental show about time invisible,and in the  time domain using detecting beam hiding an event,means that we make a meaningful step to develop a complete space time cloaking device."Milton Friedman said.

Scientific research team said the first time single cloaking device they showed, has already placed a role in the super security communications and other fields,such as increasing the security communication coefficient of fiber optic system and so on.If encrypted information can be hidden in a series of the kind of cloaking device,it will bring great difficult of their crack.On the other hand,if the hidden time interval can be on or down under control,it can be used to intercept the transmitted dated without recorded.
