Luminescence and application national key laboratory opening ceremony,the first academic committee first meeting was held in the Chinese academy of sciences Changchun optical precision machinery and physical institute on January 1.

 

National science and technology department, national natural science foundation information department,Chinese academy of sciences planing finance bureau and laboratory supporting institutes,and Chinese academy of sciences Changchun optical precision machinery leaders ,attent the meeting and made speech.The opening ceremony was held by the director of luminescence and application national laboratory,Shen Dezhen researcher,and the academic committee meeting was held by the head of laboratory committeet Xue JiKun academician .

 

The core issue of the academic committee meeting was the construction and developing plan of laboratory.The conference participants listened to the last five years work report and the laboratory developing plan written by the lab director,the researcher,Shen Dezhen. The report briefly reviewed the process of laboratory established, developing history and laboratory development plan, detailedly introduced the important representative of laboratory research in the past five years and the achievements of laboratory course construction, platform construction, research team construction and talent cultivation, laboratory open exchange and running management,and so on.The achievements in the ZnO photoelectric material and devices, organic pumps laser, rare earth fluorescence conversion,high power laser diode and defense applications and other researches were highly evaluated by academic committee members, leaders and guests. And they had a full discussion about the laboratory work report and developing plan with the scientific committee members.meanwhile hope the laboratory can establish into the international first-class luminescence research base.

 

The predecessor of luminescence and application national key laboratory is the physical key laboratory of the Chinese academy of sciences built in the 1989.The first director of the laboratory is Xu Xurong academician,one of the pioneer and founder of our country luminescence,and Huang Kun academician is the laboratory consultant. The laboratory relying on Chinese academy of sciences Changchun optical precision machinery and physics institute, has 12000 square meters of the independent lab buildings. For many years, under the strong support of the state ministry of science and technology,national natural science foundation,the Chinese academy of sciences and supporting institutions,laboratory has made a great process in the subject construction, laboratory construction, the construction and the cultivation of talents and so forth.In April, 2011, The application,laboratory promoting"Luminescence and application national key laboratory'' was approved by the ministry of science and technology. The project was approved on  October 13,2011.

 

Luminescence and application national key laboratory will face major national strategic need, national security and luminescent development frontier , devoting to the application of the basic theory and research methods of the luminescence , making shine physical basis research integrate with new materials, new devices, the new technology and other high-tech researches closely, solving the important scientific problems and core technical problems existing in the national developing the high efficiency and energy saving light new material and new device, laser light source, the emitting light source efficient new materials and new devices, a new generation of information showing the new material and new devices, efficient photoelectric detection new materials and new photoelectric devices and other fields,and making our country reach the international advanced level in relate researching area.
